Glock's MOS system — Modular Optic System — uses a factory-cut slide and an adapter plate to accept a wide range of red dot footprints. The MOS cut is consistent across the Gen4 and Gen5 MOS variants, and the plates are the part that determines which optic you can run. Glock 17 through 48 MOS variants are covered, including the long-slide 34 and 40 and the compact and subcompact models.
