What a red dot cover does

A red dot cover clips over the front of the optic to shield the lens from dust, scratches and knocks while the gun is in a bag, safe or holster. It is not a lens cap you have to remember to remove before shooting — it is sized to clear the optic and any co-witness iron sights so it doesn't interfere with your sight picture if left on.
