Red dot sights

(153 products)

A red dot sight puts a single illuminated aiming point on the same plane as the target, so you can keep both eyes open and focus on what you are shooting at. Our range covers pistol dots, closed emitter optics and rail mounted sights for rifles and shotguns.

Start with the footprint

Every optic has a base with a fixed screw pattern, called its footprint. A pistol cut, plate or mount accepts only certain footprints, so this is where choosing begins. The subpages sort our optics that way.

The common pistol footprints

The Trijicon RMR pattern is the most widespread for full size pistols. The Shield RMSc and Holosun K-series patterns serve slim carry guns. Docter, C-More RTS and Leupold DPP each have their own followers, and the Holosun 509T and Aimpoint Acro bases suit enclosed optics.

Direct fit and Picatinny

Some optics are made to drop straight into one pistol's factory cut with no plate. Others sit on a Picatinny rail, the usual choice for rifles, carbines and shotguns.

What to look at next

Window size, dot size, battery life and whether the emitter is open or enclosed all affect how an optic feels. Each product page lists these.

Brands

Holosun and Vector Optics make up most of the range, alongside Shield Sights, Osight, Sightmark, Steiner, Aimpoint, Vortex, Firefield and C-More.

Popular groups are Red dot sights with Trijicon RMR footprint, Red dot sights with Shield RMSc footprint, Red dot sights with Holosun K-series footprint, Direct fit red dot sights and Red dot sights for Picatinny rail.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my pistol's footprint?

Check the plate or mount listed for your model, or ask us.

Open or enclosed emitter?

Enclosed optics keep dirt and rain off the emitter; open ones are usually smaller and lighter.
