Optics ready plates for Smith & Wesson M&P

The Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 OR is the optics-ready variant of the M&P platform — a polymer-framed striker-fired pistol with a factory cut on the slide. The cut accepts standard plates in a range of red dot footprints.

Running a red dot low on the slide means you find the dot quickly and track it through the shot with both eyes open, rather than aligning two iron sights under time pressure. The plate is what turns the Smith & Wesson M&P into an optic-ready gun: it fills the mounting interface and presents the exact footprint your red dot needs, so the optic sits flat and stays put under recoil.

Fit depends on two things matching at once: the Smith & Wesson M&P's slide cut or rail and your red dot's footprint. Some plates also build in a rear sight so you keep a co-witness iron without raising the optic. Confirm both the cut and the footprint on the individual product page before ordering.
